𓂃ABOUT
DaNCING𓂃BaND
Welcome to the dance of DaNCING𓂃BaND, a gentle, playful and creative movement practice, we cultivate collectively a space that nurtures care and support, through the art of moving together—and the elasticity of a specially designed loop band explored in group pairs.
A simple yet profound approach for exploring presence, trust, and creativity, fostering mindful connection and embodied learning. Both, in professional, and personal contexts.
I hope DaNCING𓂃BaND can gift and hold an opening into the nourishing language we discover when we listen to movement—the subtle dances of life that flow through all our experiences.
The Practice
The practice invites participants to engage in explorations as a form of practice-as-research sessions, working with an specially designed elastic band, as a shared space material, we examine playfully, how learning and collaboration can emerge from a pre-verbal, felt sense, bodilly innate state—a responsiveness through movement can reflect, inform, reflect, expound, create and expressed individual and collective understandings.
Drawing from practices rooted in choreography and dance, movement and dancing exploration becomes an active way to generate new ways of coming together in learning creatively
In groups of pairs, practioners discover, through exploring intermingling with the roles of leading and following in movement, as a open dialogue rather than a directive fixed state.
Through giving attention to this meeting space, notions of trust, interdependence, care, and support are explored together, in ways that are meaningful, joyful, and deeply connective
By inhabiting this creative and attentive space, practioners can rehearse possibilities, experiment with relational dynamics and change, and observe the kinds of conection that arise in a collaborative, supportive, and imaginative environment.
The movement practice is complemented and extended into reflective pair and group conversation and journal time.

The Band
The rubber latex band used in DaNCING𓂃BaND offers more than structure. It draws on the restorative relationship between the rubber tree and its sap—latex—echoing their resilient and caring qualities.
The rubber latex band used in DaNCING𓂃BaND offers more than structure. It carries within it the restorative relationship between the rubber tree and its sap—latex—echoing their resilient and caring qualities.
Traditionally, latex has been used by Indigenous Amazonian communities to heal wounds for its anti-inflammatory properties. I believe that this spirit remains within the material of the band: it is felt in movement, in its pulse through cycles of tension and release—a nourishing, calming quality still alive and transmitted as we come together, move together, and communicate through its elasticity.
The band supports our learning; it becomes a space in between.
Through it, we enter a third space—an interval that allows us to sense opposites and remain engaged, moving in dialogue, balancing with one another between holding and letting go, while sensing the continuity that connects us.
